WildPhoto is run by Roy Mangersnes (1978), nature photographer and writer from Stavanger, Norway. Roy has a Masters degree in Biology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and did his thesis in animal behaviour and ecology. As the desire emerged to capture this fascinating part of nature on film Roy bought his first all manual SLR camera spring 1999. His knowledge about the subject as well as his desire to capture animal behaviour with his camera is still strongly reflected in his photography today. However, keeping up with the never-ending technological evolution, he is currently working with digital high-speed technology and fast auto focus lenses. Today Roy is a Nikon ambassador shooting with the best cameras and lenses available - D3s and D3x. Lenses ranging from fisheye to a 500mm telephoto are used, as well as SB-900 flashes.

Roy's photography has taken him to several stunning locations around the world as well as all over the brilliant country of Norway. Images from these trips are available for world wide distribution in stock agency Nature Picture Library or Samfoto for Norwegian costumers.
